Just after Thanksgiving, we (meaning Sawyer) were ready to kick off the Christmas season by putting up the tree. We placed it in its third new location in as many years. It does seem a little more out of the way in its new home by the fireplace. Sawyer was very helpful with the lights and garland, and he tackled the ornaments almost all by himself, including the tree-topping star. He has also made quite the tree and present monitor since we got things set up. While we decorated, Sheridan was elated to play with the rocking Tigger that reads “Twas the Night Before Christmas.” She got in on the ornament action, too. She took most of the sequins off an ornament that Sawyer made in his Wednesday night class at church last year. She has made quite the tree and present attacker and has adopted a gingerbread man ornament as her “teddy.” Oh, what fun it is!
