I was glad Sawyer was able to help decorate the tree this year. I don’t have much Christmas spirit, and the more help I have, the better. He had been looking forward to it for months, and his must-haves for the tree were presents, ornaments, and a little Tigger that Nena got us way back when that rocks and read ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas. After church a few weeks ago, we got cracking. Sawyer was placing ornaments everywhere he could (under about four feet high). Several branches were blessed to receive multiple ornaments stacked right on top of each other. While we were hard at work, Sheridan took the opportunity to crawl around the living room. One minute she would be on top of her sleeping bag playing, and the next she was on the other side of the room. I think she really enjoyed us being distracted with decorating because she had unfettered access to a lot of items that are usually off limits. It is hard to believe that this will be Sawyer’s third Christmas and her first! I was thinking of our Christmas tree growing up and all the ornaments we made over the years and wondering what ours will start to look like over the next few Christmases.
