Un-eggs-pected Easter Activities

Who cares if I’m posting this on Memorial Day weekend?  With Sheridan arriving earlier than expected, we had to adjust our Easter plans.  There was no egg-dyeing, nor any Easter church service for us.  Two weeks before Easter, we had a beautiful, warm weekend that made for perfect egg hunting weather…it was cold and rainy on Easter Sunday.  We decided to have Sawyer’s egg hunt indoors.  While it might not have been as challenging or picturesque as an outdoor hunt, it was certainly memorable.  Since we had only been home from the hospital a couple of days, I had to fill Sawyer’s eggs with leftover Halloween and Christmas candy 😦  He never knew the difference and had a great time finding the eggs and looking inside.  He was even magnanimous enough to offer some of the peanuts in one egg to Nena!.  We will do better next year, but this one will be hard to forget.
